Repertoire

Tamara plays all styles from the standard repertoire to contemporary music.  Although she loves to perform as a soloist, as clarinettist, she prefers the chamber music repertoire. 

In 2009, she released her first full CD:  Bajadillas.  This CD features the clarinet in the chamber music written by Frank Nuyts: 

The trio Bajadillas was written for the Táman Trio (Tamara Cuypers, Tom Van Landschoot and Daan Vandewalle).  The titel refers to the rocky Bajadas in the Arizonian desert, where Tamara lived for 4 years.  It was in this desert that the trio premiered the piece in august 2006. 

Tamara performed Busyness as usual for clarinet and piano for the first time in Vancouver in july 2007.

The other three pieces on the CD are:

2nd Suite from Bekket for clarinet, cello, piano, marimba and small percussion.  The original music for the theatrical play "Bekket" (2003) was written for Ensemble Leporello.  Frank wrote the suite in november 07 for the Táman Trio. 

Tombeau de Ravel for clarinet, vibraphone and piano, was an early work written in 1975.

The Swift Songs for soprano, clarinet and piano, was written for the 1OOth birthday of the Antwerp Conservatory.

The other musicians on the CD are: composer Frank Nuyts (percussion), Tae Yoshioka (piano), Tom Van Landschoot (cello),  and Tineke Van Ingelgem (soprano).

Tamara speelt alle stijlen uit het standaard repertoire van klassiek tot 21ste eeuwse klassieke muziek.    

In 2009 kwam haar eerste full CD BAJADILLAS uit.  Daarop staat uitsluitend muziek van Frank Nuyts.

Het trio Bajadillas werd geschreven voor het Táman Trio (Tamara Cuypers, Tom Van Landschoot en Daan Vandewalle).  De titel verwijst naar de steenstructuur (Rocky Bajadas) van de woestijn in Arizona, waar Tamara 4 jaar woonde.  In díe woestijn heeft het Trio de creatie gespeeld in augustus 2006. 

Busyness as usual (voor klarinet en piano) heeft Tamara voor het eerst in Vancouver gespeeld in juli 07.

Verder staan er nog drie andere werken op de CD:
